HALLOWEEN 2018 in Transylania - Romania!

Welcome to the yearly conference of the Transylvanian Society of Dracula on “The Vampire and The Devil”, to be held in Bucuresti, between May 23-25, and followed (optional) by a documentary tour to the famous five monasteries frescoed on the outside, 500 years ago, in Bucovina (covering Castle Dracula in the Borgo Pass, as well: hell and heaven).

The moderators will be Prof. Dr. Constantin Balaceanu-Stolnici, fellow of the Academy (whose paper is entitled: “The genesis of evil”, Prof. Dr. Sabina Ispas, fellow of the Academy, by Romanian scholars of the highest repute including clergy, by scholars from abroad.

THE SOCIETY AND THE CASTLE OF HUNEDOARA

An old dream of the society – to research the formidable Castle of Hunedoara – has come true in the summer of 2007. Assisting and filming the adventure – Sir Michael Bayley-Hughes (mike@telegtv.com) who made a DVD out of it.

Aside from being one of the few intact 15 century castles left in Europe ( alongside Castle Bran, for instance), Hunedoara sheltered for a few years two fugitive princes and cousins – Vlad the Impaler Dracula, of Valahia, and Stefan the Great, of Moldova.

If interested, you may join our second expedition (Sept. 2008) to see the sights of great legends and tales about gold treasures hidden under ruins, the gold mines from Roman times, very well-preserved ethno and folkloric traditions, landscapes galore. The Company of Mysterious Journeys will penalize the tourists who renounce their bookings as follows (subtracting bank-transfer charges):
1) for cancellation of 30 and more days before the tour start: full refunding (minus banking charges)
2) for 29-21 days cancellation: 30% penalty
3) for 20-14 days cancellation: 50% penalty
4) for 13-7 days or less cancellation: 100% penalty in favour of the CMJ.
