It might interest the romantics worldwide that on November 8, 2006, at 2 p.m., a bust of the Irish novelist Bram Stoker will be unveiled in front of the materialization of his imaginary castle - the castle-hotel "Dracula" in the Borgo Pass (45 km. East of Bistrita), in the county of Bistrita-Nasaud, Transylvania, Romania.

Dracula proved to be a bridge of valid communication on compared folklore, cultural anthropology, history and literature - as shown by the annual conferences of the Transylvanian Society of Dracula, by the works of its members. For better or worse, the Count has enhanced awareness of a country called Romania; Bram Stoker could have successfully been a minister of Tourism, for instance. The European Union hopefully knows of this unorthodox citizen, the Count of Dracula, born of an Irish father and sent to live in the mountains of the very country invited to adhere on January 1-st, 2007: Romania.

To honour the memory of the author of the second best-seller ever (the first is the Bible), two founder-members of the TSD, citizens of Bistrita (baron Alexandru Misiuga, builder of the castle, and the present owner of Castle Dracula, Ioan Moldovan) took the initiative to emplace Stoker's bust in front of his own creation. The event will be attended by the Irish Ambassador to Romania, H.E. Padraic Cradock; by the Prefect of the county of Bistrita-Nasaud, Ioan Szilagy; by the Mayor of the municipy of Bistrita, Vasile Moldovan, by leaders and members of the TSD.

Bram Stoker adoptat pels Romanesos

Podria ser interessant per als romŕntics d’arreu del món saber que el proper 8 de novembre de 2006. a les dues de la tarda, es descobrirŕ un bust del novel·lista irlandčs Bram Stoker en front del lloc on és materialitzat el seu imaginari castell – l’hotel-castell «Drŕcula» –, a la collada de Borgo, a 45 quilňmetres a l’est de Bistrita, el la comarca de Bistrita-Nasaud, Transsilvŕnia, Romania.

Drŕcula ha resultŕt ser un bon aglutinant de temes relacionats amb el folklore comparat, l’antropologia cultural, la histňria i literatura, tal com mostren les conferčncies anuals de la Societat Transsilvana de Drŕcula, grŕcies als treballs presentats.

Per bé o per mal, el Comte ha millorat el coneixement sobre un país anomenat Romania. Bram Stoker podria haver estat ministre de turisme molt satisfactori. Es d’esperar ara que la Unió Europea conegui els seus habitants poc convencionals, el comte Drŕcula, nascut de un pera irlandčs i enviat a viure a las muntanyes de l’estat convidat adherir-s’hi l’1 de gener de 2007: Romania.

Per a honrar la memňria de l’autor del segon llibre més venut de la histňria (el primer és la Bíblia), dos membres fundadors de la TSD que són de Bistrita , el baró Alexandru Misiuga, constructor del castell i el seu actual propietari, Ioan Moldovan, van prendre la iniciativa de col·locar el bust d’Stoker en front de la creació de l’escriptor. A l’acte hi assistiran l’ambaixador de Irlanda a Romania, H. E. Padraic Cradodock, l’administrador de Bistrtita-Nasaud, Ioan Szilagy, l’alcalde del consistori de Bistrita, Vasile Moldovan i diversos líders i membres de la TSD.
